Mi India: After various leaks, Redmi India officially announced the new Redmi model smartphones in India on Thursday that is called Redmi Note 9 Pro Max and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Because of the Coronavirus outbreak, the company canceled the on-ground event for 2000 peoples and host an online event in India on March 12. Most of the specs are the same in both these devices.

Specifications and features

The smartphone features a 6.67-inch full HD + IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 supported. The display has a punch hole design on the top center. It has an Aura design with a 3D glass back body and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on Android 10 with MIUI 11 custom skin.

The device is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset and comes with three different storage models 6GB +  64GB, 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 128GB. There is a notable feature, it comes with NavIC (Indian Regional Navigation Satelite System) developed by ISRO for accurate navigation and positioning.

The device supports quad rear cameras at the back that includes a 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel secondary sensor, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is a 32-megapixel selfie camera at the front with lots of AI capabilities. The device is loaded with a 5,020mAh battery and supports 33W fast charging.

Redmi Note 9 Pro Max price in India has been set for 14,999 for 6GB + 64GB version, and Rs. 16,999 for 6GB + 128GB version, the top model that has 8GB RAM + 128GB storage has a price of Rs. 18,999. The device is available in three color options Glacier White, Interstellar Black, and Aurora Blue. The device will go for sale from March 25 through Amazon India, Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Mi Studio Stores.
