Mi India News: Xiaomi is working on the successor of the Mi Band 4 which’s called Mi Band 5. The Mi Band 5 will support Near Field Communication (NFC) both inside China and outside globally. In June 2019 Xiaomi launched Mi Band 4 in China which supports NFC and microphone. Xiaomi confirmed that they are working with Mi Band 5 in collaboration with Huami.
Earlier, Huami CEO Wang Huang said that they are working on multiple projects in partnership with Xaomi. A report came out that suggests that the Mi Band 5 would be more advanced, stylish and durable than the predecessor Mi Band 4. The Fitness tracker will also come with a built-in microphone and Bluetooth 5.0 that is expected to release in the next year.
Mi Band 4 specifications
The fitness tracker comes with a 0.95-inch color AMOLED touch support display with 120 x 240-pixel resolution with 400 nits of brightness. The Mi Band 4 battery will last 20 days in a single charge. The fitness band packs a 6-axis accelerometer that helps in tracking cycling, running, walking, and all the exercise.
It also has a 3-axis gyroscope, PPG heart rate sensor, proximity sensor, and sleep monitoring sensor. It works on Bluetooth 5.0 BLE. Additional features like a customizable watch face, phone alarm, and notification, calls, and message notification, find my phone, calendar notification, app notification, weather forecast and more. Mi Band 4 also supports firmware updates via OTA.
It will give tough competition to other fitness trackers. In its home country, it is sold at CNY 169 roughly Rs 1,700. It will launch in India at a price tag of Rs 1,999.
